(Image: Amy Smith) A SEVEN-year-old boy amassed hundreds of toys gifted by the local community to donate to families in need this Christmas. Arthur Jew began donating a box of his toys at Christmas three years ago, but this year, he and his mum, Amy Smith, decided to go “bigger and better” and called on the local community of Bromyard to provide toys for the cause. Residents donated 335 toys, which have now been distributed to families across Herefordshire facing difficulties this Christmas. Read more: Following the mass donation, two businesses, JP’s Kitchen in the Buttermarket and the Falcon Hotel in Bromyard, donated food to feed 35 homeless people in Hereford, with Arthur and his mum delivering it to the local charity, Lee’s Place. “I feel incredibly proud that he has such a kind and empathic heart,” Ms Smith said. “He is an amazing little boy and the fact at such a young age he thinks about giving back to others is incredible.” CharityPeople
