Wye Valley Brewery has released its nitro stout Nightjar in 440ml cans for the first time. The canned version, launched on November 19, is now available through the brewery shop and website, with wider distribution planned in the near future. Abbie Gadd, head of sales and marketing, said: “Nightjar has quickly established itself as a nitro stout with universal appeal – smooth, velvety, and instantly recognisable in character. “Launching in cans means more people can discover Nightjar for themselves, wherever they are, reinforcing its success to date and helping to continue its growth.” First launched on draught in September 2022, Nightjar quickly became a favourite in pubs across the Midlands and south Wales, known for its creamy nitro pour, roasted malt richness, and subtle notes of chocolate and coffee. The move to cans has already attracted interest from major retailers. The nitro can format is designed to replicate the beer’s signature velvety mouthfeel and smooth pour, allowing customers to enjoy the pub experience at home. Founded in 1985, Wye Valley Brewery produces a range of cask, keg, bottle and can beers and is known for its commitment to quality and support of traditional British pubs. The brewery currently supplies more than 1,200 pubs and bars and produces over 14 million pints annually, averaging 1,000 barrels per week.
