Fast food giant advertises jobs with news it is coming to Ross-on-Wye

​Senior ReporterMcDonalds has long had ambitions to come to Ross-on-Wye (Image: Supplied) McDONALDS is reportedly coming to Ross-on-Wye, The fast food company is looking for part time staff for its business in the town, although it is not yet revealed where that will be. The company has long had ambitions to move into town, but has been refused permission. In 2023 a proposed restaurant and drive-through takeaway on the roundabout junction of the A40 and A449 in Ross-on-Wye was denied planning permission following debate from the Herefordshire County planning committee. The plan, revised and resubmitted a year earlier, saw a huge number of submissions to the planning consultations, with 450 individual messages backing the plan, and nearly 400 against it. Now today (February 27) the company has advertised jobs on the hiring site Indeed. It is again reported that it will be building at the former Travellers Rest site in the town which was a Beefeater restaurant that closed in the summer of 2024. EnvironmentPlanning and development
