Yellow, pink, red and white flowers have been laid on A4103 in Bransford following a fatal crash between a cement mixer and a Vauxhall Astra near Bank House Hotel. Three people in the Vauxhall Astra, a man and two women in their 70s, were pronounced dead at the scene on October 30. A man, who was in the cement mixer, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital with minor injuries. It follows an outpouring of sadness on social media with readers sharing their upset following the incident. West Mercia Police have launched an investigation following the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. It is believed the Vauxhall Astra was travelling in the direction of Leigh Sinton to Worcester and the cement mixer was driving in the opposite direction. PC Paul Bosley from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who lost their lives yesterday, at this incredibly difficult time. Three people in the Vauxhall Astra, a man and two women in their 70s, were killed. (Image: Newsquest) “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision itself as well as anyone who possibly saw either vehicle prior to the incident. Relevant dashcam footage could also help us in the investigation. “The grey Astra had been travelling from the direction of Leigh Sinton and heading towards Worcester, and the white concrete mixer was travelling in the opposite direction. “If you can help with our enquiries, please contact myself on 07811 761288 or by emailing [email protected].” No arrests have been made following the incident. Two ambulances, three paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic, three BASICS doctors and the Midlands Air Ambulances from Cosford and Strensham were sent to the scene just after 3.25pm. Off-duty ambulance staff also stopped to offer assistance at the scene. The road A4103 near Bank House Hotel was closed for several hours following the incident.
