The Bulls played just three games during January and also had their scheduled game against Marine postponed on Tuesday night due to a waterlogged Edgar Street pitch. Caddis’ side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Curzon Ashton on Saturday and after which Caddis said his side’s ‘stop-stop’ campaign with games being postponed is not helping the fitness of his players. Hereford’s Edgar Street pitch will face another inspection to see if Saturday’s game against promotion hopefuls AFC Fylde can go ahead. “I thought we looked like a team that’s played twice in a month,” said Caddis following his side’s defeat in Manchester. “I’ll never make excuses. It has been very stop-start, in terms of the two games since Merthyr, which was on the 30th of December. “We need games. I understand, they (his team) are completely disappointed today. We need some momentum, to get players on the pitch as often as possible. “Training is great, but you can’t replicate that intensity and that matched day feel.” The Bulls now have six games in hand over relegation rivals Southport and Peterborough Sports. Caddis side have 23 league fixtures to complete the season, which ends in 11 weeks. There has also been a change in the fixture list with Hereford now heading to Alfreton on Saturday, February 28, after their planned game against Marine AFC was postponed due to the Liverpool side’s involvement in the FA Trophy. Hereford are at home to Fylde this Saturday, before heading to in-form AFC Telford United on Tuesday night (February 10). “There’s no point feeling sorry for ourselves,” added Caddis. “We’ve got a hell of a lot of games. “We’re not in a position we want to be. However, if we go and win the games, it’s very easy to say that. “We’re losing too many games of football at the moment in terms of our points and stuff like that. “We have to win one games of football.” Meanwhile, Caddis continues his search for ‘four or five’ new players ahead of the packed run of fixtures. “We are trying,” said the Bulls boss when asked about new arrivals. “You’ve got to be respectful of the seven-day stuff (with non-contract players) that actually takes a bit of time. I understand everyone is desperate. “We’re going back and forth, we’re offering players contracts and trying to get players in on loan. “We’ve put bids in for people, we’ve tried to speed things up. It not about the age of the player, it’s about the type of player we need. “It’s almost like a mini re-build. I want to try and get another four or five players in, but I won’t just go and bring any four or five in, I want to get the right types. “We’ve got ourselves in for players that we probably wouldn’t have been able to attract three of four months ago at the start of season. Now we’re at a stage where there’s limited time left in the season. We can try and attract players. “Especially with that appe
