The former Football League striker for the likes of Yeovil, Swindon, Doncaster, Cheltenham and Walsall is still playing a key role for Hereford on and off the pitch. “Andy Williams is the loudest,” said boss Paul Caddis. “He gets amongst the players and gets them going in the warm work and stuff like that. “He’s a 39-year-old who has had a brilliant career. He’s a perfect example for these lads. They need to get to his stand, not him drop his standards down to them, there’s a lot to be a lot to learned.” Hereford could have lost by further goals had it not been for goalkeeper Theo Richardson who kept Chorley out. Caddis added: “He made some good saves, absolutely. “Could it have been worse? It doesn’t matter if you lose 4-2 or 6-2, whatever it is we still lost a game of football. “The last 15 minutes, I won’t be fooled by that. It’s easy to start running about and trying to have a go when you’re 4-1 down. “I’ll never questioned the attitude of the players, they’re right there with us. They didn’t chuck it. “We lost a set-piece goal, and we lost a goal where we lost our runner in quick session, and then we lost another goal. They didn’t give up.”
