The Bulls were due to welcome Darlington to Edgar Street this weekend, but the National League North fixture has now been switched to Sixways Stadium, home of Worcester Warriors and Worcester City. The club announced the change earlier today (February 12), citing safety and pitch quality concerns as the reason behind the move. Heavy rainfall and drainage problems have plagued the club this season, forcing many matches to be postponed. Contractors have been working to improve conditions, but the club says the surface needs more time to recover before it can safely host matches again. The club said “Despite the extensive work that has taken place at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium in recent weeks, the pitch is currently not in a condition that allows us to stage the match safely and to the required standard. Hereford FC announce new interim manager as Caddis leaves Bath City Jerry Gill looking to take over struggling Hereford FC “After careful consideration, and with the best interests of players, staff, supporters and the integrity of the competition in mind, and to allow the recent works on the pitch to take full effect, the decision has been made to relocate the fixture. “We understand this will come as disappointing news to supporters, particularly as the MandM Edgar Street Stadium is where we all want to be playing. However, this move is necessary while efforts continue to address the problems with the pitch and ensure a long-term solution. “We are grateful to Sixways and Worcester City for their support in accommodating the fixture at short notice, and for the ongoing understanding and support of the National League.” The Bulls have managed just one win in their last 14 league matches, leaving them nine points adrift of safety in the National League North.
