Jeremy Clarkson and partner attend funeral of ‘British Queen of High Society’

Lady Annabel Goldsmith, the socialite who gave her name to a famous Mayfair nightclub, died at the age of 91 earlier this month (Saturday, October 18). Her youngest son, the environmentalist and financier Ben Goldsmith, described her as “quite simply irreplaceable” and said her life had been “extraordinary and complete”. The former society hostess and widow of flamboyant billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith died peacefully in her sleep in the morning, her family said. Among the guests were Oxfordshire farmer and former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, as well as Sir Stephen Fry who has appeared on Celebrity Traitors on the BBC this month. The Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were also in attendance, so too was actor Richard E Grant, who recently starred in Saltburn, set and filmed at Oxford University. She truly had my back, and we loved each other very much. I will miss her terribly.”
