The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, formed by the former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter last year, has clinched the 2026 Britain’s Got Talent title on ITV. Clarkson watched the live final from the audience as the moment of victory unfolded on Saturday, May 30. In the moments after the win was announced, choir member Katryna Shell told hosts Ant and Dec that they were the first choir ever to win BGT and dedicated the triumph to farmers everywhere who may be struggling, urging anyone who isn’t okay to speak up. The prize includes £250,000 and a slot at the Royal Variety Performance.
Leading up to their performance, the group described Clarkson as their biggest advocate and said they could not thank him enough. Judge Olajide Olatunji, better known as KSI, indicated he hoped to add their original track This Is Home to his Spotify playlist after they performed it.
The Sun subsequently reported that Clarkson and the choir celebrated into the early hours of Sunday, May 31. The tabloid claimed the presenter and the group were partying until around 4:30am after their ITV triumph. Clarkson said he had even gate‑crashed the stage after the result, describing the atmosphere as electric and noting that Arsenal’s defeat had amplified the joy. The celebrations continued with a post‑show pub visit, and Clarkson admitted his head was heavy the next morning but reiterated how thrilled he was for the singers.
