The Cart Shed, based in Herefordshire, received the donation from cooker company ESSE. The donation of an ESSE 1000 W white wood-burning range cooker will improve the charity’s kitchen amenities and crafts a part of a joint effort alongside businesses Oak Tree Stoves and Certainly Wood. This new addition will reduce wood consumption and smoke, resulting in lower costs. A spokesman from The Cart Shed said: “To have a stove that uses less wood and produces less smoke makes such a difference to our volunteers and helps us keep our costs down. “We are hugely excited to have the ESSE stove in place and hope to replace our remaining older units in time.” The Cart Shed, founded in 2011, assists over 120 individuals each week, offering therapeutic programmes for those battling anxiety and depression. The charity provides hot meals as part of its services to those who need them. Donations are welcomed from The Cart Shed’s website. Charity
