Man handed community order after admitting assault by beating

​ReporterSENTENCED: A man has been handed a community order after a beating incident in Ledbury (Image: Susie Watkins) A MAN has been given a community order after beating a person in Ledbury. During a sentencing hearing at Hereford Magistrates’ Court, 49-year-old Robert Greening, of Martins Way in Ledbury, was handed the 18-month community order. He had previously pleaded guilty to assault by beating, following an incident at an address in Ledbury in May 2025, but was found not guilty of making threats to kill. Greening was also given a 12-month mental health treatment order and 20 days of rehabilitation activity. The court ordered him to pay £85 in costs and a victim surcharge of £114, as well as a £100 fine.
