Paul Caddis’ side bounced back from their defeat against Southport last weekend with a convincing 5-1 win against AFC Sudbury to set-up an FA Trophy third round tie against Radcliffe on Saturday, December 13. However, they once again conceded the first goal before coming back and taking the lead into half-time. “The Gaffer said at half-time that first 20 minutes sums our season up so far,” added Osborne. “We had double figures of chances on goal, but we haven’t scored and then against the run of play we’ve conceded. “What changed is the fact we went from a goal down to 2-1 up and put them to bed. Hopefully it’s a turning point for us. Osborne said that the break in competitive matches allowed them to regroup. “Tuesday and Thursday the Gaffer really put us through our paces, lads were coming off, thinking that this has been a tough week going into Saturday,” added Osborne. “But, you train how you play. He’s a big believer in that and so am I. We had some really good tactical sessions. “We knew we had a week off as the game was called off on Tuesday and we had a week to put it right.”
