The iconic Great Milton restaurant and hotel began its temporary closure at the start of this month, with renovations and refurbishments set to take place. Le Manoir was originally started by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc back in 1984, and the now Belmond-owned spot has been one of the UK’s most cherished. The two Michelin-starred restaurant is set to reopen in the summer of 2027, but with several changes, including with the staff behind the scenes. Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir. The Frenchman is currently in charge of two of France’s most decorated restaurants, with both La Vague d’Or in Saint-Tropez and Plénitude at Cheval Blanc Paris awarded three Michelin stars. Mr Blanc has reacted to the new appointment at the luxury Oxfordshire destination with a supportive statement. The founder of Le Manoir and Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur said: “Arnaud is an artist, an alchemist and a deeply thoughtful chef whose values align perfectly with the spirit of Le Manoir.
