On Friday, September 5, West Mercia Police joined an immigration team in Hereford to address reports of delivery drivers who are illegally working, using uninsured vehicles, and anti-social driving using illegal E-bikes. A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said they had received the information from members of the public. During the operation, two E-bikes being used by delivery drivers were seized by officers. Licensed premises were also checked, and breaches were found in two locations. “The legal statuses of workers in these premises were checked by immigration officers and several people were arrested and bailed,” the spokesperson said. “One male was also arrested and is no longer living in the UK.”
