​ReporterSuspect fled the scene after woman hit on busy city road (Image: West Mercia Police) A POLICE search has been launched after a suspect fled the scene after a woman was hit by a car. Officers are appealing for witnesses after a female was hit by a car whilst crossing the road on Aylestone Hill on Monday, October 20, at 7.40am. A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said the suspect then left the area, and at this time is unidentified. Members of the public with information that may be able to assist police with their enquiries are asked to contact PC 23125 YOUNG by emailing [email protected] and quoting Incident Number 53 of the 20th of October.
