Two people arrested after thieves target churches in burglaries

(Image: West Mercia Police) TWO people have been arrested after thieves targeted churches, with police appealing for the public’s help to track down a stolen item. Posting on the West Mercia Police site, Neighbourhood Matters, John Meek said the force had dealt with several burglaries at churches across the county in the past few months. The “deplorable” offences have also taken place across county borders in Worcestershire and Shropshire. “I am pleased to report that following some excellent teamwork, with the support of our roads policing team and intelligence units, two people have been arrested,” he said. The force is also appealing for the public’s help to identify a safe, of which they have released images of. “If you have any thoughts on where it has been taken from please get in touch,” he added. “Thanks for your help and support we really do appreciate it.”
